Brother's/Sister's,
Hopefully as you are all aware of by now, the GCA has signed some pretty significant Side Letter's for our Organization concerning 'Hold Downs, Local on Friday's".
These were put into affect on April 1, 2008 by the GCA and the CN.
I will be getting copies posted at work for "you" to make copies and then put them back for other's to do as well. The GCA is going to be mailing them out, but how long this will take I do not know, so to expedite the process I will doing the aforementioned.
If you have any questions or concerns or have issues with CMC please let myself or Vice Local Chairman Dave Slusarski know ASAP.

Effective immediately UTU Local 583 Meeting Minutes will no longer be posted on bulletin boards on CN Property.
If you would like to view the minutes you will need to contact Tony Macareo and either register for the UTU LOCAL 583 Website or Tony will give you all the meeting details via telephone.

I would like inform the Membership that we have signed Side Letters with regards to implementing hold downs and also Local only on your fridays. The other side letters concerns the available board and out of cycle. These issue have been put to bed and spelled out due to the hard work of the GCA. We told the Members that we would continue to fight, scratch, and claw for these items and today the General Chairman Flashberger did just that. Congratulations to all who put in the work, time, effort with regards to these issue's.
These will be made available as we get them and get copies to all Members.
When these come if you have any questions please call.
This Organization will continue to work on issues like these and others. We have a long ways to go and as a strong Organization will continue to strive forward.
